AI Chat to Flashcards turns the AI chat conversation a user is currently viewing on ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini into flashcards. This policy explains how the extension handles information.
Conversation text and formatting are processed locally in the user's browser only after the user clicks a flashcard export action. Local processing creates an Anki-compatible CSV, tab-separated clipboard text, or a text import guide.
The extension does not collect, transmit, retain, sell, rent, share, or use conversation content, prompts, responses, browsing history, account details, or personal information for advertising, analytics, profiling, or any unrelated purpose. Conversation content is not written to extension storage. Exported data goes only to the clipboard or download location selected by the user.
Chrome local storage is used for a numeric count of free exports and, after activation, the pasted Payhip license key, licensed status, and last verification time. This data remains in the local Chrome profile and can be removed by clearing extension data or uninstalling the extension. Conversation content is never placed in storage.
The only external API call initiated by AI Chat to Flashcards is a request to payhip.com to verify a Payhip license key pasted by the user. The request contains the product secret in a request header and the license key. It never includes AI conversation content or personal data collected by the extension. A successful check is cached locally for three days; after that, the extension may recheck the stored key.
Payment is handled through Payhip and the seller's connected PayPal account under their respective privacy practices. Opening the Payhip product page is a user-requested browser navigation, not an extension API disclosure. AI Chat to Flashcards collects no personal data and does not receive names, email addresses, billing details, or payment card details.
The extension runs a content script only on chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com, claude.ai, and gemini.google.com. Access is used solely to read the currently displayed conversation after an explicit export request. The extension does not post messages, click controls, automate these sites, monitor other sites, or collect social-network data.
AI Chat to Flashcards does not collect or sell personal data and does not share data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers. The limited license-key verification described above is its only external API communication. Executable code is bundled locally and no remote code is loaded.
Users may clear local extension data through Chrome settings or by uninstalling. Downloaded files and clipboard contents are controlled by the user and operating system.
AI Chat to Flashcards is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
